Bringing hope when hope is lost

Dealing with the challenges of today requires problem-solvers who bring different perspectives and are willing to take risks. SOUTH FLORIDA LENDING HANDS emerged out of a pursuit to inspire and support the community, and a desire for actions to speak louder than words.

The Devastation

In an effort o help best we can given all of the limitations: covid19, distance , airport closures yet so much pain.
We reached out to an old friend, a native of Honduras,  Nancy Bush. As it turns out she happens to be in UTILA, Honduras at the moment.
Utila is one of the Bay Islands of Honduras, in the Caribbean, north of the mainland. It’s known for its coral reefs and many dive sites. According to Nancy they are in need of repairing their beaches and coast line.
We have also reached out to Jasper Utila Animal Shelter as suggested by Nancy.
With the intentions to lend a hand best we can.
We are also in contact with Roatan Rescue in Roatan Honduras. Here we  communicated with Janessa. Thankfully all animals here are doing fine.
