Hurricane Fiona
Hit Puerto Rico with torrential rain and flooding. People have been left without power and have lost all of their belongings. The devastation five years almost to the date after Hurricane Maria is unbearable. Many people have been left once again without nothing including power and water.

This has been a downfall to many animal rescuers and shelters. The situation has created an influx to already overcrowded shelters. We at South Florida Lending Hands have been able to receive generous donations from local organizations and folks wanting to help. On Thursday September 29th we shipped fourteen hundred pounds of donated pet food and supplies to our friends and partner shelter in the island Save A Sato.

We have dedicated this efforts to our departed wonderful friend Derek Dodge. Derek was one of our valuable volunteers who helped us ship these items on American Airlines. We thank our also friend and supporter Francoise Freeman who kept his legacy and stepped into his shoes to lend us a hand.

Special thanks goes out to our volunteers Jane Ziemba, Anthony J Vessillo and Frank Polanco  without them non of this would have happened.
