South Florida Lending Hands its honored to have been able to participate in such a wonderful event that helps promote literacy to kids in our community. The Action for Literacy program through its Little Free Libraries is one of the program we are passionate about and support. Our goal is to make sure kids are able to read by third grade.
ACTION FOR LITERACY DAY
The City of Fort Lauderdale declared January 2022 as Action For Literacy Month. Please join us at JC Carter Park.
We will have a treasure hunt, human scrabble, and other fun family-friendly learning games geared towards PreK-third grade students. You can also show off their talent as an artist by painting a Little Free Library. Enjoy food, raffles, arts and craft, and reading corners with local authors, as well as a resource center for parents.
